We were supposed to play in a show last night here in our city, but because of some circumstances that arose, we were forced to back out. Sayang! But don’t fret just yet, we’re in for the annual Unityfest concert of Corridor Music Group next Saturday. It’s now Unityfest 6. We’re pretty much psyched with it.
If you accidentally read our previous post, it has been sometime already that we got together and jammed together.
Just to let you know, Francis’ on his second year at med school, Henry’s preparing for the Crop Science board exam, Patrick’s busy working in the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Bimbo’s happy with his newborn son Simon Isidore, Kevin’s at Del Monte working, Mike’s outside the country earning, Leroy’s on his last year in school and will soon be a SPED teacher, Van’s on his last year in school and will soon enter med school, Jayson’s on his third year in the school of Education, and Kokong is on his third year in English Language and Literature Studies.
Starting now, every gig we play in will be extra special because it will be a rare opportunity for you guys to see us ten playing our old tunes together. Showbiz ra kaayo pero tinuod ni! And oh, please continue supporting our local talents in Cagayan de Oro especially in the underground scene.

2009 opens with a not so good news. First off, we extend our deepest sympathy to all the victims of the flash flood that hit our city. The family of Francis Ramos wasn’t exempted as they, too, were also hit badly, but thankfully they are all out of harm’s way.
Secondly, we are very sad to inform everyone that John “Mike” Cando will be leaving The Superflirts temporarily for some highly undisclosed reasons. We know very well that his hiatus is for his own well-being, and we strongly support his decision as his brothers. The date of his return though is still up in the air but we are very positive that it will be sooner than expected.
And lastly, we are all very busy right now with school, day jobs, and personal priorities that needs tending. Maybe it won’t be the same anymore as in the past years that you get to see us often live and complete, but rest assured that we are still here continuing what we started despite all these setbacks. As for now, the only thing we could do is move forward for the betterment of all.

Hi guys,
As 2008 closes, we would like to thank each and everyone for sharing the year with us. To our supportive friends, bands we’ve played to together, Corridor Music Group, UpBeat Production, our loving families, and special individuals who have blessed us in their own ways, we raise our glasses to you! It has been a good year for The Superflirts, and we owe it to all of you. 2008 also gave us the opportunity to share the stage with respectable musicians such as Gloc 9, Urbandub, Jeepney Joyride, Peryodiko, Playphonics, Bamboo, and international ska band from Switzerland, Skaramouche. It was a blast!
Even though it gets harder for us every year, we are still here standing because of the love you have given to us graciously from the very beginning of our existence. It may sound cheesy, but it’s true. We know we cannot repay you to its entirety, so here we are, we humble ourselves in great appreciation to all the things you have done to our band. We hope and pray that 2009 will be kinder to us all. May the good Lord bless us all!
Merry Christmas and a very Prosperous New Year ahead!

Finally! Our second single from our soon-to-be-released EP has hit the airwaves!
You can catch our latest offering entitled TRAPO by tuning in to KillerBee 89.3 FM every Monday night on the Indie Top 20 Countdown show.
It would also be reaaaaaally nice if you could spare us some cellphone loads of yours and vote for our second single on a regular basis by keying in REQUEST TRAPO by THE SUPERFLIRTS and send it to 09234093882. Help us climb the countdown.
Hope you will enjoy listening to our TRAPO. Oh by the way, TRAPO is short for TRAditional POlitician, and please don’t confuse it with Yano’s song with the same title.
We are very proud to announce the newest addition to the Superflirts family, Jayson Cagmat.
He, along with Kevin Billedo, will be playing trombone. Jayson has been
playing with us for a couple of gigs now and expect more of him in our
future shows. With his entry, we are now a 10-piece act. Help us
welcome him with fervor!
We will also be dishing out our newest
single this July, so watch out for it. For the meantime, please
continue voting for our single on killerbee 89.3. You know the drill
guys!
On a sad part, Francis Ramos will be taking a leave of
absence with us for some time. He’ll be taking up medicine and will
make him very busy. We wish him the best and we’ll be waiting for his
return. Jezrel Neri of Skotchtape will temporarily take the cudgels that Francis left.
I think that’s all for now. Enjoy and stay in school!
If you have some spare load for us, kindly vote for our single, Run and Dance,
on KillerBee 89.3 FM. Help us maintain, and at the same time, gain more
position on the KillerBee Indie Top 20 Countdown, which happens every Monday at
9PM. Please give our music a chance. Thank you sooooo much!
Here’s how to request/vote for our song:
key-in REQUEST RUN AND DANCE by THE SUPERFLIRTS and send it to 09276648658
We, the band, decided not to release our EP yet. We
felt that it would be better if we first release a single before we distribute
our EP to the public. Don’t worry sirs and ma’ams, our EP is already ready for
distribution, but you’ll have to wait for a couple of weeks before you can grab
hold of By Hook or By Crook. We love teasing you. hehehe
Anyway, our first single is Run and Dance. It’s now
up for listening (no downloads please). You can now request for it on Killer
Bee 89.3 FM, which I don’t know the procedure on how to request for our song.
hahahaha.. I’ll ask my bandmates on how, maybe they know. =)
We’re also turning 4 years older this April (still a
long way to go!) and perhaps, it is only fitting that we release By Hook or By
Crook during the month of April. Noh?
We hope you’ll lend us your support!
thank yoooooooooou,
The Superburps.. flirts. hehehehe
